The organization is not… If you’re in an organization, it is because you have, let’s say, some common goals to achieve. It is a kind of — it’s a community of people agreeing to achieve some things altogether. It’s a kind of common destiny by essence. It could be an enterprise. It could be something else. Now, nevertheless we are going to have… as a person, we are going to be involved in different types of organizations. We’re already all in different types of organizations.
Now, the question is which organization is important for me? One, which is important for me, is the one which is helping me for my wealth. To eat, to have money, to have fun and to […]. Then is this the same organization? Not sure. With some companies, in some case yes. In some case, no. And I think probably new types of organization are going to exist, and this is the challenge of enterprise today. An enterprise is, has to be in position to be sure that people are happy, have fun, engaged, are motivated, have capacity to be autonomous, and to decide, to… Ok if you look at some companies like Gore-Tex, or Zappos, or Cemco, or Morningstar; or even in France if you look at Hervé Thermique, Favi, some others. If you read last book from Isaac Getz, he writes about that, regarding how people are really happy being free to decide to work in a given organization. I think yes we have to invent the model of the enterprises of tomorrow. This is at least what we are trying to do in Nextmodernity.
