Education is vital and I am increasingly turning my attention to education because we look at the future, work is a way of defining our world, education is critical both to educate people and to the jobs that will exist in the future and also the reality that education is now… must be ongoing. We all must be learning continually to be able to contribute in a rapidly changing world. So there are challenges in the… you know the reality that schools are institutions, so it is difficult to change them. So part of it is in terms of making schools really address the person, who people are, and how they contribute in social context.
But the broader issue is rather the ongoing education, the education of children, I think, one of the key ideas I think is peer learning, where as we are more connected and children can learn with their peers that have… people that have… those that are most complimentary being able to help each other. And then going through the same learning situations can assist each other, but I think this is… compliments the type of stuff we have today.
But that same thing being applied again in adult education, where as peers, we can learn together and this shifts to expert and learner, that sort of which is an implicit hub, spoke… that view of education, I think. If we shift to a more networked peer learning model, that can both assist in terms of school and teachery education. and also in terms of our ongoing education which is so critical for being… achieving our objectives in a very fast, fast paced world.
