If you want to have security, if you want to have a job, if you want to have a salary, you’re pushed inside the organization. Huge organizations are still seen as a secure home for many people, and I can understand why. But again, right now, huge organizations are not the best place to unlock people creativity, unlock people energy, unlock new solutions to the market. So you have two sides again and the tradeoff is between security and let’s say enablement. But from a personal perspective, it’s not easy to choose freedom, and just to be a freelancer. Probably the best resources in the market are already doing this, but in this economy it’s tough to survive alone, providing new services, and competing with the huge organizations, when the market is not fluid, when there is no transparency, when decisions are taken mostly through personal relationships and then based on features, or positioning on value provided by the services you give to the market.
So again, I think this is happening, but it is not happening fast enough, because the market, the ecosystem is not fluid. And the economy – at least the European economy — is not helping this.
